By day, I design and build retrieval-augmented generation platforms for national companies — multi-model/multi-domain vector search, confidence-scored answers, citation-backed retrieval from large and fuzzy internal knowledge bases. I think a lot about how to make AI systems that are as grounded as they are effective.
A weekly letter about the patterns underneath AI - the human behaviors, system dynamics, and timeless structures that these tools amplify, distort, and accelerate.
In these writings, I'm much less focused on model reviews and prompt tips, and much more so on the actual patterns that determine whether what you're building works or doesn't. This is for practitioners who want to see the thing beneath the thing, so that AI can actually move them where the fruit is.

Hey, I'm Connor.
I'm a follower of Christ, a father, a husband, and an engineer - and I've learned the hard way that the order matters.
I've built startups, burned out, rebuilt, and eventually found a rhythm where the technical work and the deeper questions aren't in tension anymore.

I don't think AI is going to save the world. I do think it's the most powerful tool most people aren't using well yet. I'd like to help with that.
